Ghost Hunting Event Rules, Policies and Restrictions and travel recommendations

  • Most ghost hunting events will require you to sign a liabilty waiver for saftey reasons. Not just for the company involved, but for your well-being as well.

  • For some but not all events, age requirements is usually 21+ and over. Some are 18+ and over. There are usually no-exceptions to the underage policy unless otherwise note for parent or guardian signature. If you are signing for an underage attendee, usually proof of relation is required.

  • For some events, a form of ID(Usually a Drivers License) is usually required upon arrival and at check-in.

  • Flashlights are usually prohibited as well as headlamps. Purple lights and red lights are also prohibited during any ghost hunting events. only use flashlights for cautionary reasons. Reason being, Infared lights are lights that only seen by night vision camera. If any artificial light, was seen flashing in front of the lenses, it can interfere with filming. Please keep flash lights and other forms of lighting pointing down or not turned on at all. The staff would appreciate no complaints from attendees for these events. This also includes lights from your cell phone which are to remain off at all times.

  • Remember to respect other investigators time during the event. We are all here to be friends and get to know each other. Any policy violated in the contract signed before hand, will result with being escorted off the property and normally no refund.

  • There is no drinking or any form of drugs allowed during the event. If seen smoking or drinking, you will be escorted off the property and usually with no refunds

  • If you are with a giant group or with a party group, we do not tolerate loud voices or laughing or disturbances during the event. Companies will ask you to keep it down or if further violation is seen, you will be asked to leave the property with no refund or possibly the location itself will ban you from coming back. Please keep the volume at a minimum or nothing at all. Investigators who are there take this seriously and we do not want anyone getting upset or causing a disturbance.

  • Some places do not allow live streaming depending on the contractional agreement signed and given to you during the event. If otherwise noted, you are to follow all guidelines and regulations and restrictions documented and noted.

  • If you are traveling long distance and your event time is somewhat later than 9pm, we recommend you stay in a hotel and do not travel back the next morning to your home because events can last until 8am if advertised. We want everyone to be safe and alert.

  • Caffeine is your best friend during these events, especially if your not awake mostly until 4am. You have the better advantage if you are a Night Owl. Please get plenty of rest before any paranormal investigation. We want you to be fully alert during any event as well as for your own safety. You are allowed to bring energy drinks and snacks with you and sometimes the venue will provide you with some.

  • we do recommend you eat a full meal before attending the first few hours of the event. Paranormal investigating takes out a lot of your energy and you will become extremely hungry and thirsty which is why we want you to bring Snacks and Drinks.

  • Weather wise, it can be chilly, and it can be extremely hot. Please dress accordingly to weather conditions. A lot locations are usually not equipped with A/C Unit or heating system because of the haunted locations are extremely old and usually are eroding.

  • Please wear durable and comfortable shoes(Steel toe or hiking shoes or non-designer sneakers are recommended) Locations can have tons of debris, unsafe ground, and a lot of stairs. There is no easy way to get around these places. For your own comfort, we want you to be safe and secure with right footware.

  • Arriving early is recommended based on traffic conditions and sold out events. The staff is heavily relying on you to show up on time or before scheduled time posted. Please try your best to not arrive late.

  • Tickets will sell fast based on the event itself. Pricing can be expensive and some attendees are early to the game for tickets so be competitive with buying tickets.

  • We highly recommend taking digital photographs(also your phone with flash can help as well) Some investigators will use Polaroid cameras which will print a small photograph out of the camera for a more authentic capture. Rapid fire use is the use of taking multiple pictures at a fast rate a speed. Take a look at the pictures that you’ve taken and compare to see if anything seems to be different.

  • Walkie talkies are usually not recommended during public ghost hunts because the radio frequency can interfere with EMF meters and other frequency related devices. We do no want false readings from our devices for its the sole purpose of why use them. Please stay together and only separate if you are in area where no one else is investigating. That is the only exception during an event unless you are doing a private event where you have rented out the location to your group. Othewise do not use them for the sake of other investigators. The staff would really appreciate no complaints for event nights.

  • This is not a fun house or fun maze. This is place where people have lived and died. We are to respect the location for even if they have passed, we must honor and respect that this was their home at one point, so we are their guest during any of these events.

  • You are to take ghost hunting and the paranormal investigator title 100% serious. Successful investigators become more noticed because they work hard at finding amazing and incredible evidence. Please take the title seriously. other people will also want to learn from your investigations so be professional at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Paranormal equipment can be extremely expensive. We highly recommend you keep track and take of your equipment. Some investigators and crews will carry more than just a rempod or SB7 spririt box. Sometimes they are stored in large casings to protect the equipment when traveling. If you are taking equipment with you while investigating, we recommend that you have travel backpack to store all your equipment and also keep them in a durable traveling case when traveling. There is not a lot of repairs that can be done to your equipment, which will require you to get a new one.

  • during any event, if you are tired or feel the need to leave… you are allowed to leave at anytime during the night. Feel free to let the staff know if you are leaving the event.

  • Make your investigations memorable by trying new things during investigations and never be hesitant if you are scared to do something. Step out of your comfort zone a little. Be a little more brave helps you become a better investigator.

  • Please show support by donating or purchasing an item from location gift shops. These locations are not funded by the government and only rely on the people who attend and donate their time to attend these events. These events would not be possible with constant tickets selling out. Every penny goes to restoring these buildings to help bring back the way they once looked when they were fully operational.

  • Hint- If Hunter Felde and/or any of Hwolf Members are there to investigate at the event, they are more than happy to have you on board for the night. Feel free to ask them to join if you are new to investigating.
